A unique apartment in rural Lancashire that was completely transformed to create a calm and peaceful sanctuary for my client. To create a sense of calm and peace, harmonious finishes were selected throughout the apartment so that each space flows into the next. Including negative spaces in the design was important, creating a pause and sense of peace by not filling every single available space.
The furniture and fittings chosen for the apartment were not just functional, but also pieces of art in their own right. Their clean lines and unique sculptural shapes were carefully selected to meet the client’s desire for timeless elegance.
Interesting textures were included to add warmth to ensure the focus on clean lines and simplicity was not bland. Vibrant oranges and yellows were included to add a feeling of joy, and some gentle teals and blues were included to break up the neutrals with calm, colourful elements.
